When Rosie's Place first opened its doors in 1974, the organization was run entirely by volunteers. Today, volunteers are still critical to our ability to empower and support the poor and homeless women we work with. Working throughout the organization, volunteers contribute more than 60,000 hours annually - equivalent to 29 full-time staff! Our volunteers believe in Rosie's Place's mission and are willing to give their time, energy and love to support it.
We have volunteer opportunities available in nearly every program of Rosie's Place. Volunteers are not extras - they are essential members of our community. Although the minimum age for volunteers varies by position, all individual volunteers must be 16 or older.
