We strive to make life easier for women by offering basic health care through our Wellness Center.
The Wellness Center at Rosie’s Place provides an opportunity for women to receive unconditional support along with sound health and medical assistance. We partner with community health organizations including Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program and Regis College School of Nursing to offer the most comprehensive services and treatments we can such as: routine vital signs checking, blood sugar level monitoring, immunizations, vaccines, pregnancy testing and dental referrals. Further, our Wellness Center hosts weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, meditation classes and acupuncture and Reiki providers.
The Center promotes a holistic approach to wellness and accommodated almost 1,400 visits in the past year. By providing a host of healthcare services on-site at Rosie’s Place in a familiar and trusted setting—we are bringing critical medical assistance and wellness supports to poor and homeless women who would very likely, otherwise not seek such help.
