How We Help

A stunning 1 in 3 adults in Massachusetts are food insecure.

Our Food Programs provide access to meals and groceries for hundreds of women each day.

The guests of Rosie’s Place have always struggled with hunger and those who are already living on the edge of homelessness and instability are most at risk. Our Food Programs are more important than ever to women who are desperately trying to get by.

Dining Room

Our Dining Room is open 365 days a year, with breakfast, lunch and dinner offered on-site or to-go. Last year alone, Rosie's Place served 152,000 nutritious and culturally inclusive meals, a 47% increase from the year before and an average of more than 400 meals a day. As the number of women who find respite and support with us increases, so does the need.

Food Pantry

In response to the dramatic upswing in statewide food insecurity, our Food Pantry is serving more women and their families than ever before. We provide 350 households every day with fresh meat, dairy, fruits, vegetables, non-perishable staples and household essentials. Women who used to shop monthly can now visit our Pantry every week to help make ends meet. In the past year, our Food Pantry provided groceries to 8,300 women, a 22% increase over the year prior.
