How We Help

The number of women who can benefit from the services of Rosie’s Place extends well beyond our front doors, and so instead of waiting for those women to come to us, we go to them.

Housing Stabilization

Rosie’s Place’s Housing Stabilization Program delivers services to guests within their own community and in their own homes, providing multiple resources to maintain stable housing and health by building long-term support and solutions.

Many of our guests struggle with mental illness, physical disabilities, language and other barriers that can jeopardize their living situations. Bill paying, housekeeping tasks or mediating disputes with landlords and neighbors can overwhelm and ultimately sabotage a woman’s housing.

Stabilization Advocates establish and maintain relationships with each woman, regularly checking in and developing a support system to address each guest’s particular needs. With the growing need for eviction prevention, Rosie’s Place can step in to help financially with rent arrearages and utility shutoffs, and help with transportation, the purchase of household items and furniture.  Last year, our Stabilization team helped 92 guests remain housed and healthy.
