After 20 Years, President Sue Marsh Steps Down

After twenty years leading Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women, president Sue Marsh recently informed the board she will be stepping down in February 2019. -
Rosie's Place Receives Cummings Foundation Grant

Rosie’s Place is one of 33 local nonprofits awarded a total of $10 million from Cummings Foundation through its new Sustaining Grants program, which provides funding for up to 10 years. Jamie Doyle and Michael Oliver represented the nonprofit at a May 3 awards night at TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. -
Rosie’s Place Names Recipient of 2015 Kip Tiernan Social Justice Fellowship

Rosie’s Place has awarded the 2015 Kip Tiernan Social Justice Fellowship to Theresa Okokon of Roslindale for a program she has developed to empower women survivors of trauma by providing Trauma-Informed Yoga classes in the Boston community. -

Rosie’s Place has named Wakefield resident Mehreen Butt director of public policy. In this role Butt will manage a multi-faceted legislative campaign, including creating and implementing a legislative strategy, coalition building and working with Rosie’s Place’s lobbying firm. -
Rosie’s Place Names Liz Chaves as Director of Finance and Administration

Rosie’s Place has named Salem resident Liz Chaves director of finance and administration. In this role Chaves will be responsible for managing finance, accounting, human resources and other administrative areas for 80 employees with a $9 million operating budget spread over 10 programs. -

Rosie’s Place recently named Newton resident Diana Pisciotta to its board of directors. Pisciotta, a longtime supporter of Rosie’s Place, is the executive vice president of Denterlein Worldwide, which provides communications services to corporations and nonprofits. -
