Rosie’s Place is governed by a 20-member Board of Directors. Elections to the board take place each June (and January for mid-term Board vacancies), with terms beginning the following September. Board members may serve three consecutive two-year terms before taking a mandatory one year break from service.
Only individuals who meet the standards of our corporation may run for the Board of Directors. Individuals become members of our corporation by serving at least six volunteer shifts during the six months preceding nomination, or by active service in one of several board committees (Fundraising, Investment and Tiernan Fellowship Committees - by application).
The Board of Directors meets monthly, except in August and December. Members are required to be active participants in one of the board committees (in addition to those named above: Finance, Personnel, Governance, Program Evaluation).
