What Love Can Do

While it may appear that today is all about greeting cards and bouquets, it is really about love.

And at Rosie’s Place, love—unconditional love—is our foundation. It is our purpose, and it shows up in our work in gestures big and small. Love is nourishing meals made with care, new pajamas for a guest’s first night in our shelter, grocery bags brimming with necessities often unaffordable. It is welcoming someone by name, listening with compassion, responding with immediate action, keeping the lights and heat on in a woman’s home, forestalling eviction with a rental payment.

Day after day, we see exactly what love can do. When we extend it to our guests, giving our help without judgement, expectation or a time limit—it brings them comfort, strength and hope.

It is your love and generosity that makes this possible. Thank you for always giving from the heart.

When some might step back and say, Let’s hope for the best—you join us in stepping forward to make things better saying, Let’s see what our love can do.
